Campaign Of the Week: A Pringles Can to Die For
Pringles is taking its “Once You Pop, the Pop Don’t Stop” campaign to a morbid new level with “Once You Drop,” a Halloween promotion offering one lucky fan a custom Pringles can urn and a 200-year supply of chips. Created with BBDO New York and Weber Shandwick, the darkly comedic campaign features real funeral director and TikTok star Dan the Funeral Man, who reveals the story of the Pringles can’s inventor being buried in his own creation. Fans can enter by signing the “Last Will and Taste-Ament” online from October 13 through October 22, with the winner announced around Halloween. Leaning into Gen Z’s love of absurdist humor, the campaign gives Pringles fans an unforgettable way to make the iconic can part of their legacy.

Sour Patch Kids Gets Saucy with Wingstop
Wingstop Restaurants Inc. and Mondelēz International's SOUR PATCH KIDS are teaming up for Wicked Punch, a limited-edition Halloween flavor featuring chicken wings coated in a SOUR THEN SWEET redberry glaze and topped with SOUR PATCH KIDS Bitz. The flavor launches nationwide on October 27, with Club Wingstop members receiving early access starting October 23, and will be available through November 5 or while supplies last.
The collaboration gives both brands a playful way to reach new audiences, while offering Wingstop Restaurants Inc. a timely promotional boost amid a 7.5% decline in domestic same-store sales in Q2 2026. While the candy-inspired flavor is designed to generate buzz and encourage visits, its long-term success will depend on whether it brings back lapsed customers and drives repeat orders beyond Halloween.
Chipotle Goes From Snack Bags to Fashion Bags
Food and beverage brands are tapping into the oversized handbag trend to connect with consumers through unexpected fashion collaborations. Chipotle Mexican Grill launched a giant, 3-foot-wide takeout bag through a digital sweepstakes, while Unreal Snacks partnered with designer Rachel Comey to create a $425 silver clutch inspired by its chocolate packaging that debuted during New York Fashion Week.
Other brands, including poppi, Cadbury UK and Betty Crocker, have also introduced fashion accessories inspired by their products, with Betty Crocker’s cake slice handbags selling out within a day of their initial release. These collaborations allow brands to extend beyond their traditional categories, appeal to fashion-conscious audiences and turn familiar products into lifestyle statements. For Unreal Snacks, the partnership is part of a broader strategy to attract new customers and build brand awareness, with early success measured through consumer response and earned media.

Aura Wants to Help You Remember the Little Things
Aura is celebrating its 10th anniversary with its largest-ever marketing campaign, “Life Is Amazing, Remember That,” aimed at repositioning its digital picture frames as a tool for staying connected with friends and family rather than simply a gift for grandparents. Created with agency Confidant, the emotional campaign highlights how sharing photos helps people relive memories and appreciate everyday moments, running across TV, paid social, podcasts, radio and other channels from October through December.
With more than 10 million users across 3.5 million homes in nine countries and photo sharing up 40% this year, Aura is looking to expand beyond seasonal gifting by encouraging consumers, particularly millennial moms, to purchase frames for themselves. The company also hopes to broaden its product offerings while building on its private photo-sharing app as an alternative way for people to maintain meaningful personal connections.
Jokić Joins Sprites Starting Five
Sprite has launched its global “Never Stop Refreshing the Game” campaign, featuring three-time National Basketball Association (NBA) MVP Nikola Jokić alongside returning partner Anthony Edwards. The campaign kicks off with a humorous ad featuring Jokić attempting stand-up comedy to an unresponsive audience, and will run across seven global regions through 2027, targeting markets where National Basketball Association (NBA) viewership is growing fastest.
Following Sprite’s return as the National Basketball Association (NBA)’s Official Global Soft Drink, the activation also includes limited-edition player cans with QR codes that unlock digital games and prizes such as courtside tickets, basketball gear and exclusive experiences. Additional initiatives include neighborhood basketball court renovations, live events and NBA 2K rewards. By combining star power, interactive packaging and local activations, Sprite aims to strengthen its connection with basketball fans worldwide and capitalize on the sport’s growing international popularity.
